About SandI

Simulation and Innovation (SandI) Engineering Solutions (SandI) is a venture company started through the incubation program initiated by Society of Innovation and Development (SID), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and funded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Government of India. The main goal of SandI is to promote high end CFD technologies with uncompromising product quality standards.

Prof. N. Balakrishnan

Prof. N. Balakrishnan obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Science in the year 1995, specializing in the area of CFD. He rejoined the institute as a member of the faculty of Aerospace Engineering in the year 1998 and since then has been actively involved in research in the areas of CFD and Aerodynamics.

Dr. Nikhil V Shende

Dr. Nikhil V Shende obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Science in the year 2005 under the guidance of Prof. N. Balakrishnan. The work executed by Dr. Shende for his thesis forms the basis of the flow solver HiFUN.
