Our Story
Simulation & Innovation (S & I) Engineering Solutions is a technology company incubated from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in the year 2006. True to its origin from a world-renowned institute, vision of Sandi is to achieve “excellence in engineering through continuous innovation” and its mission is “to be a company of excellence in all its technology offerings”.
What We Do
Sandi works in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). It has developed one of the most high performance computing (HPC) friendly commercial CFD software HiFUN. It is capable of simulating air flow over flying configurations, automobiles as well as structures such as buildings, ships etc. The latest version of HiFUN software marks culmination of more than 100 man-years of research and development efforts. This robust, fast, accurate and efficient tool is available at very attractive license price.

Sandi has a team of highly trained and dedicated engineers to help industry analyse complex simulation problems requiring massive computational resources. It has concluded a number of service contracts for various government and private organizations. The configurations analysed during these service contracts range from transport aircraft, fighter aircraft, missiles, launch vehicles, ships etc. Sandi is capable of analysing multi-body dynamics problems such as store separation analysis. Sandi also deals with configuration optimization, particularly in the area of Aerospace Engineering, using a combination of low fidelity aerodynamic tools and high fidelity CFD tools.
Awards & Recognition
- Sandi is recipient of the NVIDIA Innovation Award 2015 for demonstrating the superior capability of its software HiFUN on GPU based hybrid computing platform.
- In June 2016, Sandi won the competition organized by DST-Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Program (IIGP-2016) and was one of the top ten companies to visit California, USA to get an exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Silicon Valley
- In October 2017, Sandi was selected to be the part of NASSCOM Deep Tech Club; an exclusive club restricted to companies developing cutting-edge new technologies.
- In March 2018, Sandi was selected to participate in the MassChallenge Israel accelerator program in Jerusalem, Israel. MassChallenge is the world’s most startup-friendly accelerator & competition, and the first to support high-impact entrepreneurs globally.
