Subsonic turbulent flow past Omar five element airfoil

In this study, computations are performed for steady, subsonic and turbulent flow past five element OMAR configuration shown in figure below. The objective of this study is to compare results obtained using a structured grid with an unstructured grid.

Average Y+ is less then one for all the elements of the configuration.

"Cl - Alpha" & "Cd - Alpha" Curves

The results obtained using both structured and unstructured grids for lower angles of attack show good comparison with the experimental results. With increase in angle of attack, the results obtained using structured grid show better agreement with the experimental results compared to the one obtained unstructured grid.
